Senior Year Goals

Attend College camp before school starts.

Keep track of deadlines for different colleges.

Attend College representative visits to Boca High.

Continue to study hard and challenge yourself. All colleges want to see academic rigor during senior year.

Register for free scholarship searches at https://www.fastweb.com/ and https://www.collegeboard.org/.

The College and Career puts out scholarship bulletins on an ongoing basis. Stop in often and pick them up.

Register for the October SAT and ACT if testing is incomplete or unsatisfactory.

Submit college essays to the College and Career center or your English teacher for review.

Fill out applications and send in online with the fee.

Order transcripts to be sent.

Stay organized! Keep a file and checklist of colleges applied to. It is your responsibility to check your status with the university to see if anything else is required.

Attend Financial Aid Night at Boca High with your parents/guardians.

Financial Aid opens October 1st – apply! http://www.fafsa.gov. File the FAFSA form for Federal Financial Aid based on the prior year’s tax information.

Meet with your school counselor and dean to be sure you are on track to graduate.

Complete scholarship applications in a timely matter.

Keep up with senior deadlines; order cap & gown, graduation invitations, graduation tickets, prom tickets, etc.

Send in your tuition deposit and final transcript for the college or university you have selected.

Send your AICE transcript and AP scores, plus any Dual Enrollment transcripts to your school.

Schedule and attend orientation and apply for housing as soon as possible.
