Last year, Netflix came out with its original series Stranger Things. The show took away nine hours of everyone’s life spent binge watching the episodes.

This thrilling drama follows four boys in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana. One day, Will Byers mysteriously disappears. His mom, Joyce Byers, launches a terrifying investigation involving police chief Jim Hopper to find her son. Throughout this journey to find Will they uncover government secrets, come face to face with the supernatural, and become an alliance with an unusual little girl named Eleven. The first season was a Golden Globe winner and appealed to all ages. The season left off with a nail-biting cliff hanger which got everyone excited for the new season to release..

The second season takes us back to Hawkins, Indiana one year later, 1984. The story continues as the supernatural begins to take over the small town and even worse, take over Will Byers. With unexpected bonds, everyone will come together to save their friend and their town. Throughout the season, there is plenty of twists and turns, including love triangles, deaths, Hopper hiding someone in the woods, and Dustin’s new pet. There are nine chapters in the stimulating story line, kicking off with the first chapter, MADMAX. This episode sets up the whole story, inviting the new characters, brother and sister, Billy and Maxine. We follow these fearless kids as the ride their bikes from the arcade, to school, and all the way to the Upside Down.

Now, I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but if you’re like me and dedicated a whole day to sitting in your bed in the complete dark and to watch the whole season, you know that this season has surpassed everyone’s expectations. With the amazing soundtrack, the wardrobe, and the new characters who fit so well into the show, the Duffer brothers did not disappoint. Along with the new season, Netflix also released Beyond Stranger Things. This show invites the cast of Stranger Things to discuss all the hidden meanings in the new season. That said, do not watch this show before the new season. If you are late to the Stranger Things train, or are debating whether or not you want to devote your entire life to this show, I highly suggest you give this show a shot, you will not be disappointed. Since these shows are Netflix originals, you can only watch it with an account. Bite the bullet, and pay the $10.99 a month, you will thank me later.
