“This has to be stopped.  The injustice has gone on too long,” belted Bobcat rights activist Bob A. Cat, as he stood at a podium in front of a roaring crowd of fellow Lithuanian Spotted Bobcats, “We need to band together to remove all racist Bobcat mascots! Our voice needs to be heard!”

Bobcats’ voices were finally heard by Dr. McKee.  Starting next school year, the Boca High Bobcats will be known as the Boca High Caterpillars.  This seems to be a reoccurring trend in the country, as the NBA team, The Charlotte Bobcats, is also feeling intense pressure from the rising Bobcat rights movement along with countless other high schools.

“The mascot was clearly racist and unfair,” said a Seminole Native American.  “It’s about time we did something to change it.”

Boca High was faced with a tough decision as to what would be the next face of our school.  Many options were weighed, such as the Redskins and the Confederates, but finally it was decided that the Caterpillar was the best fit for Boca High, obviously because of its resilient warrior spirit and fearsome hunt tactics.  The gym will now say “Welcome to the Cocoon,” instead of the previous “Welcome to the Jungle,” and the mascot’s name will be Christian the Caterpillar.

“Now that Boca High has made the leap and changed their mascot, I hope other schools around the country will start to follow suit,” said passionate Bobcat rights activist, Bono.

However the rest of schools may react, at least Boca High has made a single push in the right direction, and all Caterpillars should be proud of their administration for standing up for what’s right in the world.
