Bobcats Tailgate for Seminole Ridge Game

Story by Bryanna Basilio, Staff Writer

August 29, 2014 – Paint, food, games, music, and Bobcat spirit can very well describe Boca High’s tailgate party for the Boca High v. Seminole Ridge varsity football game.

Boca High hosted its annual football tailgate on Friday where the Bobcats were welcome to enjoy sandwiches, chips, music, face painting, bean bag tosses and other activities. Before the football game, the tailgate party was located beside the tennis court in the teacher’s parking lot. Admission for the tailgate was merely $5.00 including all amenities offered at the tailgate.

Organized by Leadership the tailgate party included sandwiches, chips, soda, water, and even a snow cone machine. There was also a face paint table where the bobcats showed their bobcat spirit colors of blue and gold. Whether you were playing bean bag table toss or tossing the pigskin around, boredom wasn’t an option. Music was provided purely by one of the party-goers’ truck, blaring hit songs off the radio. When the cupid shuffle played, majority of all the girls danced their sandals off.

The attendees were truly prepared having brought lounge chairs to relax and listen to the music. The party soon ended but not before a group photo op by yearbook.
