WR Xavier Morley celebrates TD with teammate Jeremy Reynolds

Story by Gary Putnik, Sports Editor

Boca High came out of the gates hot and never looked back in their 41-0 victory against Santaluces.  The Bobcats started off the game on a high note with a five yard touchdown run by running back Bryce Hill, who would go on to score one more that night.

But Hill wouldn’t be the only offensive weapon used Friday; quarter back #7 Philip Santiago finished the night with only three incomplete passes on ten attempts and one touchdown. That one touchdown was caught by #4 Xavier Morley.

The defense played outstanding, recording three turnovers on the night, two of which were recovered for touchdowns by #5 McGinnis Albert. The other was a interception caught by #9 Daniel Ruditz.

The Bobcats’ defensive line is what really made the difference by putting an immense amount of pressure on Santaluces quarter back, #10 Patrick Mayes, only allowing his offense to put up one hundred and forty-eight total yards.

The Bobcats moved up to number four in The Sun Sentinel’s Top 10 in Palm Beach County with their fourth win of the season and look to keep moving up in the rankings with a big game at Pahokee on October 2nd.
